⚙️Setup

Can I change my formation after setup?

Yes. On each game's Setup tab you can change the formation for that specific game. This doesn't affect your team's default formation. You can also update the default in Edit Season Setup → Team Info.

Can I add players mid-season?

Yes. Go to the Roster page and tap 'Add Player' at any time. New players are available immediately for lineups and tag awards.

What happens if I skip the assessment step?

You can come back to it any time via Edit Season Setup → Assessment, or by tapping any player on the Roster page. Without assessments, the AI lineup generator will distribute players evenly without position preference.

Can I have multiple teams?

Multiple team support is coming in a future update. For now, Coach by Dae manages one team per account.

Does the AI lineup generator always start the same players?

No. The AI balances playing time when 'Track playing time' is enabled. It also factors in assessment ratings, preferred positions, and your optional notes — so you can guide it for specific games.

Can assistant coaches use the app?

Multi-coach support (sharing a team with assistant coaches) is coming soon. Currently, one account manages one team.

What's the difference between the Lineup tab and the Live tab?

The Lineup tab is pre-game planning — you build your starting formation and planned substitutions here. The Live tab is the game-day view — it shows the real-time field, countdown clock, and lets you execute substitutions as they happen.

Where do bag tag awards show up?

Tag awards appear in the Tags tab for each game, on the player's detail page (tag history), and on the Roster page season summary table at the bottom.

💻Technical

The app isn't loading — what should I do?

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then reload. If that doesn't work, try a different browser (Chrome or Safari work best). If the issue persists, contact support.

I didn't receive my magic link email

Check your spam or junk folder first. Magic link emails are sent from noreply@coachbydae.com. If it's not there, wait 60 seconds and try again — there may be a brief delay. Make sure you're checking the same email you signed up with.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes! Coach by Dae is designed for mobile-first sideline use. To install it on your home screen: on iPhone, tap Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android, tap the browser menu → Install App or Add to Home Screen.

How do I reset my password?

Go to Settings → Account → Change Password. Enter your current password and your new password. If you signed in via magic link (no password), you can set a password for the first time from the same page.
